| This was a 50
shot HFT competition held at the club's shooting ground, Hanging Grove. The
event was open to both members and visitors, and there was also a
post shoot barbeque.
68
competitors took part, some of whom traveled considerable
distances. They all seemed to
enjoy the event and the weather was kind to us until the prize
giving, which took place outside around the barbeque!
Thanks to the generosity of John
Bowkett, we were able to raffle a BSA Hornet Carbine in .177
calibre at the prize giving. The lucky winner was Steve Holmyard.

| The course
setters had done a great job and there was an
"interesting" wind blowing, but this did not seem to have
much impact on the scores of some shooters, whilst offering
believable excuses for those that did not do so well. Competition
for the trophies was close, with shoot-outs required to decide the
winners of both the Open and Junior classes.
Once again, Roger & Bob worked
away tirelessly behind the barbeques and there wasn't a single
rumbling stomach heard during the prize giving. Congratulations to all of the trophy
winners and thank you all for supporting this event.
