The competition consisted of five standing shots at targets set at 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 yards. Each target missed incurred a penalty loop of 30 metres  Then a 60 metre run returning to the range to shoot a further five shots at the targets in any position, again, incurring penalty loops for missed targets, time stopping after the last target down or the completion of penalty loops. Handicap of time less the age next birthday of the competitor.
