The 24/7 Hunter Field Target - 24 July 2005

To celebrate the agreement of a new lease with our landlords, a 40 shot hunter field target competition was held for members, their families and guests. The event was scheduled for the Sunday as this allowed a far greater variation of target positions, as all ranges were available to us.

Despite the best efforts of the weather to spoil the event, most people seemed to enjoy the day and the post shoot barbeque went ahead under cover of the gazebos. Some snapshots of the day are available for viewing here.

Many thanks to all who helped with the organising of the event, and particularly to those guests that helped to bring the course in and those members that worked hard all day and didn't even get to shoot.

Given the persistent rain & fogged optics, the scores were quite respectable and once again, young James Huckle nominated to shoot in the open class against the adults and came away with top honours after scoring a very credible 77 out of a possible 80.

In addition to the main classes, there were also awards for the top lady and the top senior shooter (over 60) on the day and these were won by Gretel Lilly and Dave Mansfield respectively.
