A legal kneeling shot therefore, requires the shooter to adopt a
“three point stance” with the shin and ankle clear of the ground
and the buttocks supported by the heel only. Additionally, the
supporting hand and wrist must be forward of the knee and
unsupported.
Five shots are taken at each of the targets, and the scoring system is
5 points for a knockdown, 2 point for hit on
the faceplate and 0 for a complete miss. The shooter with the
highest score shall be declared the winner.
Any pistol will be allowed so long as it has a power output of less
than 6 fpe, as required by the law (you are reminded that all guns on the club’s ranges
may be subject to random testing). The use
of range finders, binoculars, wind indicators, or spirit levels is not permitted.
The maximum scope magnification allowed is 4x and no adjustments may be made to the scope after the
first shot is fired. Shooters using red-dot sights are permitted to
turn them off between lanes to preserve battery life. Bean bags are permitted to be used for kneeling
shots only, but should be placed under the knee and must not be used
to support the shin.
The clubs safety procedures, which are displayed on this site and at various points around
the ground, must be adhered to at all times.
