Michael Alexander Competition 2008 Entry free to fully paid up members. Only fully paid up members can win this competition, Others may take part (Time permitting) for a donation of £2.00 to our chosen charity. The competition will be in three parts. The winner will be the competitor with the highest total score. Any legal rifle may be used including FT. Magazines only to be loaded when directed by range officer. Any legal shooting position may be used including sitting. Unless directed differently by the competition element. Elements of the competition may be shot in any order. Range officers direction and decision will be final. Part One - Starter For Ten Five targets at various ranges which will be scored on a different level. To start the course you have to knock down the starter target worth ten points, this will not be reset.. You can then knock down any of the other four targets to increase your score. The other targets will be worth 2 points, 3 points, 4 points and 5 points, depending on distance/difficulty. You may reset and shoot the same target within the time limit allowed, pull up cords will be activated by the competitor only. Time allowed 2 minutes (No limit on number of shots taken). Any legal position, including sitting. Any rifle allowed. Magazines to be out of the rifle and only be loaded once your time starts. Scope adjustments permitted. Part Two - Disc Shoot Six discs set out at given distance. Six shots, no time limit. One point for each broken disc, (more than 50%). Minus three points for each one not broken. Any legal position, including sitting. Any rifle allowed. Scope adjustment permitted. Part Three - Bench Rest Target Shoot Ten Shots deliberate at a five bull target, two at each diagram. Maximum score 100 (Inwards scoring). Rifle can be rested on a beanbag, tripod, bipod or rifle rest providing no part of the is supported behind the trigger.
